McKays hotel, bar and restaurant is located on the historical General Wade’s Road built during the Jacobite rebellions of the 18th century. It was built as part of King George I’s attempt to repress the Highland’s, General Wade constructed a new military road ‘for wheel carriages’ between Dunkeld and Inverness. The hotel is located just minutes from the main line Pitlochry railway station with direct train links to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and London. It’s even closer to the bus stop which has direct routes to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.

Travelling by car Pitlochry is just off the A9. There’s plenty of car parking available in Pitlochry along with electric car charging points.
