At the time of writing, we’re still in lockdown, but that’s not stopping us planning for the future.
For now, let’s look at what we’ve done over the last 12 months to make McKays Hotel Bar and Restaurant the place you love to come to in Pitlochry.
Over the past three years, we’ve worked on three key refurbishment projects to make McKays the place that you love to come to.
1st phase was a brand new kitchen where it was moved to enhance the guest experience of the bar and restaurant and create an open kitchen which also gave us move space for the kitchen workspace.
2nd phase was the brand new chip shop which we redeveloped and opened in March 2018. This also created a brand new 50 seater restaurant where we host our group tours and guest alike.
3rd phase was the addition of 10 new rooms to the McKays portfolio that opened early summer 2019. We redeveloped space that was lying empty and turned them into beautifully designed superior rooms that help us elevate our hotel to the next level and enhance our guest experience.
Next phase will be the addition of 14 new bedrooms which were looking to start in the second half of 2020. We’ll keep you posted on this one.
Wow, we were busy as well as welcoming you, our guests every day and creating an atmosphere that people want to return to with their family, friends and dogs.
