Spend Hogmanay at McKays this year.  With live music on Hogmanay, the twinkle of candles and the warm glow of the fire.  We’ll keep you cosy while you await the bells and the arrival of 2025.

Arrive on the 30th December for a two-night stay, and you can begin your Hogmanay celebrations with us.

The Hogmanay Gala Dinner begins with a Champagne reception at 7pm before moving to the restaurant for a sumptuous four-course menu. With a piper at the bells to bring in 2025.

Then awake on New Year’s Day morning to the smell of fresh coffee and a fully cooked Scottish breakfast.

Pork belly served with black pudding, apple matchsticks and a crisp salad
Hot smoked salmon, charred asparagus, Atlantic prawns, rye crumb, drizzled with salad dressing
Roasted vegetable terrine served with a crisp salad and red onion chutney

Medallion of beef, served with a red wine jus
Pan fried fillet of Scottish salmon, served with a creamy tarragon sauce
Cornfed chicken supreme stuffed with haggis, pan fried served with a whisky sauce

The above dishes are all served with potato fondant, carrot puree and mixed greens

Beetroot risotto served with beetroot crisps, crumbled goats cheese and pea shoots

Traditional Christmas pudding laced with brandy sauce
Chocolate sponge drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with vanilla ice cream
Strawberry and meringue pavlova, served with a berry coulis and vanilla
